I can't totally disagree with Stephen A. Smith on his opinion of Kyrie Irving being an MVP candidate. Not at all. I think Kyrie would probably be the MVP if it weren't for his hiatus, early on in the season when his team was still searching for an identity.
And that's what I can see being a problem for the Nets down the line. There's no doubt that Kyrie Irving is going to be one of the greatest NBA players of all time, but his total commitment to basketball seems suspect and that'll most likely keep individual accolades just out of his reach for the rest of his career unless his attitude about the game changes.
