I think this should be a moment for the NBA to educate players on their role in society off the court. The majority of them participated in the BLM movement in order to bring light to the struggles of POC around the world.
The education needs to be based around players understanding that black people aren't the only people who are being discriminated against and that participation in that discrimination diminishes their own efforts in fighting the discrimination they're fighting against.
Hopefully, the NBA and the player's union can create some sort of community outreach that he can participate in to help him grow in understanding that what he did was wrong and that he can become a leader in the black community's goal of zero intolerance around the world.
